Dubai - A total of 2,157 real estate transactions worth more than Dh9 billion were carried out in the week ending 3 February 2023, according to figures released by the Dubai Land Department (DLD).
The DLD report showed that 237 plots of land were sold for Dh1.56 billion, with a further 1,920 sales of flats and villas recorded, for a total value of Dh5.77 billion.
Topping the list was a plot of land in Al Wasl for Dh147.5 million, followed by a plot of land in Island 2 for Dh112 million and a plot of land in Mohammad bin Rashid Gardens for Dh54 million.
Al Hebiah District 5 recorded the most transactions this week, with 108 sales transactions worth Dh383.71 million.
This was followed by Al Yufrah District 1 with 28 sales transactions valued at Dh163.27 million and Al Hebiah District 4 in third place with 14 sales transactions valued at Dh149 million.
The top three transfers of flats and villas were a flat in Island 2 valued at Dh410 million, a flat in Business Bay sold for Dh220 million and another flat in Palm Jumeirah sold for Dh125 million.
The value of mortgaged properties reached Dh1.68 billion this week, the highest being a plot of land in Al Barsha South Fourth with a mortgage value of Dh324 million.
Meanwhile, 74 properties worth Dh665 million were granted between first-degree relatives.
