DUBAI - A total of 2,173 real estate transactions worth more than Dh10 billion were carried out in the week ending January 6, 2023, according to data released by the Dubai Land Department (DLD).
A total of 270 plots of land were sold for Dh2.25 billion, while 1,903 apartments and villas were sold for Dh4.89 billion.
The top three deals were a plot of land in Marsa Dubai, which sold for Dh623.07 million.
This was followed by a plot of land in Al Thanyah Fifth for Dh77.23 million and a plot of land in Marsa Dubai for Dh623.07 million, which ranked third.
Al Hebiah Fifth recorded the most transactions of the week with 133 sales transactions worth Dh386.38 million.
It was followed by Jabal Ali First with 49 sales transactions worth Dh228.15 million and Al Merkadh in third place with 12 sales transactions worth Dh125 million.
The top three transfers of apartments and villas were: an apartment was sold for Dh119 million on Island 2, one was sold for Dh115 million on Island 2, and in second place an apartment was sold for Dh75 million on Island 2.
The total amount of mortgaged properties this week was 1.85 billion, the highest being a building in Burj Khalifa with a mortgage of 300 million dirhams.
101 properties were granted between first-degree relatives for Dh1 billion.
