Dubai-based property developer Select Group announced on Wednesday that its ultra-luxury project Six Senses Residences The Palm in Dubai underwent its first concrete pour last week.
The company said in a press statement that the Sky Villas were the focus of the first pour, which included the raft slab and basement slab.
An estimated 3,500 cubic metres of concrete was used in the continuous pour, which lasted 24 hours, with approximately 620 tonnes of steel making up the concrete raft in the first phase of the pour area.
The statement noted that the second phase of the basement is also being prepared and is scheduled to be poured in the coming weeks.
The Six Senses Residences project is located in the West End of Palm Jumeirah and comprises 1.2 million square feet of penthouses, duplex sky villas, nine signature beachfront villas, the Six Senses Hotel and Six Senses Place, a 60,000 square foot premium health and leisure facility.
The lead consultant for the project is BSBG and the main contractor is iBUILD Construction.
