Abstract: The DAMAC Lagoons project is a grand luxury community development in the Dubai area, led by DAMAC Properties. The project covers a total built-up area of 2.3 million square meters and is set to accommodate over 39,400 people in more than 9,000 villas.

DAMAC Lagoons is an ambitious luxury community development project in the Dubai area led by DAMAC Properties. The comprehensive plan encompasses multiple clusters, each themed after Mediterranean cities, showcasing the essence of different styles and cultures.

The highly anticipated Venice cluster in the third overall community of DAMAC Lagoons has been awarded a major contract worth 1.2 billion dirhams to UAE-based Darwish Engineering Emirates LLC.

The project's total built-up area is an impressive 2.3 million square meters, with plans for the construction of over 9,000 villas, estimated to accommodate more than 39,400 people. This expansive community will offer high-quality residences along with a range of amenities including exclusive clubhouses, landscaped gardens, retail outlets, fitness centers, children's play areas, Crystal Lagoon, inland white sandy beaches, a water cinema, wave pool, and water park, catering to the diverse needs of residents.

DAMAC Lagoons is inspired by water, emphasizing a residential experience connected to water. Apart from the Venice cluster, other clusters such as Ibiza, Malta, Marbella, Morocco, Monte Carlo, Mykonos, Costa Brava, Nice, Porto Cervo, and Santorini showcase the charm of different Mediterranean cities.

The project's construction progress has been impressive, with 20% of the 6,459 villas from 13 clusters completed thus far, marking a significant milestone.

Furthermore, the appointment of the main contractor for a total of 1,432 villas (across 2 clusters) is in its final stages, and the design work for 1,025 villas (across 2 clusters) is also nearing completion. Over 2,600 villas have already been constructed at or above ground level.

To ensure high-quality construction, the DAMAC Lagoons project employs over 14,000 laborers daily, with more than 100 excavators and over 850 vehicles entering the construction site each day. Safety measures have resulted in over 19.6 million safe work hours without any loss-time incidents.

Another notable highlight is the project's commitment to sustainability. The DAMAC Lagoons project is applying for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification, aiming to become one of the UAE's first major communities to achieve this prestigious rating. From design and construction to future operations, the project integrates green and sustainable concepts, striving to provide an eco-friendly and sustainable living environment.

DAMAC Lagoons is an eagerly anticipated large-scale luxury community development in the Dubai area. With its diverse clusters reflecting the Mediterranean ambiance, offering high-quality residences, rich amenities, and a focus on sustainability, the project aims to create a comfortable and livable residential environment. As the project continues to progress, DAMAC Lagoons is poised to become a unique landmark in the Dubai area.
