Abstract: The Emirate of Dubai has become a dream for many foreigners to live, reside and work.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Emirate of Dubai has become a dream destination to live, reside and work for many foreigners, especially young Arabs, a 'W Capital' survey has said.

The survey, conducted between January and March 2023, asked 'W Capital' customers in the UAE and the Gulf region what makes Dubai attractive. Participants said that the infrastructure puts Dubai at the forefront of real estate at a global level and strengthens its position among global destinations as the best place to live, work and invest, in addition to being easy to do business and offering good employment opportunities.

"Polls conducted by real estate brokerage firm "W Capital" showed that participants were keen to live in Dubai, establish their businesses and plan for the future in the land of dreams, which is one of the seven safest cities in the world for citizens, residents and visitors," said Walid Al Zarooni, Chief Executive Officer.

He added that Dubai's success over the past 20 years has established its position as a fertile ground for opportunity, where efforts bear fruit and dreams come true. It is now a destination to play, work and live; it is not just a civilised space, but an experience that cannot be lived anywhere else. It is a place where you cannot avoid the lure of big dreams and achievements, while enjoying the best of the lifestyle in this experience.

Al Zarooni says the emirate has managed to become home to expatriates from more than 200 countries who live and work side by side. Dubai offers a rich lifestyle for all in a vibrant urban atmosphere with many activities and entertainment.

The CEO highlighted that Dubai offers the most modern roads, ports and airports and is one of the busiest gateways to the world for business, trade and tourism in the region. This has made the city a favourite for many.

Due to its central location between East and West, as it is only a few hours flight from most of the world's major destinations, Dubai Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. It serves more than 85 million people a year, connecting more than 240 destinations on six continents, with more than 100 airlines.

Al Zarooni said that Dubai has also established itself as one of the happiest cities in the world and is the only city to consider happiness as an official public mission. The UAE has a Ministry of Happiness, which was established in 2016.

He emphasised that the emirate ensures the happiness of nationals or residents of other nationalities by empowering them, providing unique infrastructure and exceptional opportunities, while maintaining their safety and comfort.

Dubai has one of the most developed and efficient transport systems; this makes it ideal for travelling thanks to strict traffic regulations and state-of-the-art road control systems.

He noted that Dubai offers the best standard of education. There is world class schooling with 16 different courses and access to over 60 prestigious international universities. Dubai offers the highest standard of health services in the world, especially after integrating health and innovation to serve and attract medical tourism. They aspire to be one of the top 20 healthcare markets in the world.

Al Zarooni highlighted that Dubai's real estate market continues to receive tremendous support from the unlimited facilities and high quality initiatives introduced by the emirate's government, as reflected in policies to support residents, the new residency law and residency for entrepreneurs and investors.

He said that the emirate offers safe and vibrant residential communities, as well as luxury resorts and hotels to suit all tastes and the expected demand for different spaces to suit individual or family needs.

According to Al Zarooni, the Dubai real estate market is characterised by diversity, catering to the different requirements of tenants and buyers, which is supported by a flexible real estate legal regime that allows UAE and Gulf nationals to own property in any region, as well as foreign residents to rent, buy and sell real estate units in specific areas of the emirate.
