UAE - Leading property developer DarGlobal has awarded the contract for the main works on its W Residences project in Dubai to China State Construction Engineering Corporation - Middle East (CSCEC ME).
DarGlobal, the international arm of leading Saudi developer Dar Al Arkan, is a company established to create quality destination residences for a unique global clientele. It operates in a number of markets including Spain, the UK, the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Posina.
DarGlobal said major work on its third project, W Residences in Downtown Dubai, will begin soon with the completion of a Dh273 million (US$74.3 million) deal with CSCEC ME.
CSCEC ME is one of the world's largest multinational multidisciplinary consortia in civil and industrial engineering and real estate development, and one of the most renowned housebuilders.
The Residences - a stand-alone residential development owned by global lifestyle brand W Hotels - boasts views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain and is located just minutes from DXB Airport, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Dubai Mall.
It is due for completion in December 2025.
On the award of the contract, CEO Ziad El Chaar said." We are committed to delivering all our projects on time, matching the promised specifications and amenities. w Residences is already sold out and is expected to be the first standalone residence in the world under the iconic lifestyle W Hotels brand."
He added that some of DarGlobal's most notable projects include Missoni's Urban Oasis Tower and Pagani's DaVinci Tower, Elie Saab's Les Vagues residences in Doha, Sidra Residences in Bosnia, and the AIDA master development in Oman, which features the Trump Golf Club, the hotel and residences.
